Why Gratitude is the Attitude - My Top 5

  • Dr Nikki A Creber

1. Keep a Gratitude Journal

Dedicate a few minutes each day to writing down a few things you are grateful for. Make your entries specific, focusing on depth rather than just a surface-level list, and consider things from different aspects of your life.

2. Write a Gratitude Letter

Think of someone who has made a significant positive impact on your life and write a heartfelt letter to them expressing your appreciation. For an even more powerful experience, deliver the letter in person.

3. Practice Gratitude Meditation

Find a quiet space, focus on your breath, and spend 5-10 minutes reflecting on people, experiences, or things you are grateful for. This helps foster feelings of contentment and peace.

4. Perform Acts of Kindness

Show your gratitude by giving back to others. This could involve volunteering, donating, paying for a stranger's coffee, or simply doing something kind for someone.

5. Cultivate Mindful Appreciation

Take time each day to be fully present and notice the good things around you. Pay attention to small joys like your morning coffee or a friendly interaction, and acknowledge the everyday "gifts" in your life
